FLEET WEEK 2010, May 26-June 1
Since 1984, New York City has held Fleet Week to honor the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Throughout the week, the public is given an opportunity to tour the Navy, Army and Coast Guard ships as they visit New York Harbor. The annual Memorial Day ceremony will include the unfurling of a 100-foot American flag and features the singing of Taps and a military aircraft fly-over to honor those who have lost their lives in service to the United States.

Since the movie coincidentally premiers this week, I can't help but be reminded of that funny Fleet Week scene from SATC:

Samantha: Ladies, seamen, twelve o'clock!
Miranda: [to Carrie] I pray when I turn around, there are sailors, because with her, you never know!
