0 Minding the Gap's New Logo

The Gap, new logo, Twitter
The Gap, new logo
The new Gap logo.
The internet has been buzzing about the all new, Helvetica font, black-lettered, blue square hanging off the "p" design that recently replaced the iconic navy box with white letters we have all come to associate with the Gap. According to my unofficial research, the first admission from the Gap that they've adopted a new logo design came in the form of a tweet at around 9:30pm EST on Wednesday.

Is this rebranding a worse faux pas than tapered jeans, or are people obsessing and freaking out over nothing?

Bonus: The Gap's new logo has its own unofficial Twitter profile. Think @BPGlobalPR.
